Art Deco macassar ebony & tiger maple wooden box

This lovely box is made of tiger maple wood & macassar ebony.

The style and wood combination would suggest that it was made during the Art Deco period.

It is rectangular all edges being in tiger maple with inset panels of macassar ebony veneer.
The macassar ebony panels have been cut to create a chevron pattern on the sides and a diamond pattern on the top.
It has L shaped feet and wooden "swags" between the feet.

It is lined with green baize.
